Maps are drawings of different places. They show what an area looks like. Some maps show small areas, like cities or neighborhoods. 

Maps can show many things. On big maps, they show the land and water. These maps have countries, seas, oceans, and even continents on them. People use these maps to find countries and cities. Small maps might show one city or area. They have many details. They have individual buildings and streets on them. People use these maps to find their way somewhere.
