1. ~할수 있었는데(못했어)
- I could have helped you, but I couldn't.

2. ~ 였을지 몰라/~였을수도 있어.
( = may, might )
- It could have rained in the afternoon.
( = It may ( might ) have rained in the afternoon.)
: 오후에 비왔을지도 몰라.
- Tom could have arrived at that time.
( = Tom may ( might ) have arrived at that time.
: 탐은 그 시간에 도착했을 수도 있어.
3. 부정적 추측 ( couldn't have p.p)
- Tom couldn't have done it by himself.
: 탐은 혼자서 그걸 할 수 없었을거야.
- How was the movie?
It couldn't have been better!
: 영화 어땠어?
