[ The World Times ] Lady Gaga's Comeback

Stefani Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, made her long-awaited comeback to the music scene on Feb. 28. The music video for "Stupid Love," the lead track from her upcoming sixth studio album, Chromatica, has around 25 million views on YouTube. The song is an electropop dance track that harkens back to Lady Gaga's Born This Way album, which was released nearly a decade ago. 

 

The music video for "Stupid Love" was shot entirely with an iPhone 11 Pro. Sarah Tanno, Lady Gaga's makeup artist, said the singer wanted to look like "someone who fights for kindness and leads with love." Tanno said, "In the Born This Way era, she had these cheek prosthetics. So I thought, 'What is the new special thing that I can make for her?' This armor naturally will come in different shades of metallic pink." Lady Gaga sports four different outfits in the video. Although some were painful to wear, designer Laurel DeWitt said that Gaga loved them and would do anything for fashion. 

 

As for the song, critics are calling it one of Lady Gaga's best singles. W magazine's Kyle Munzenrieder wrote, "It was classic Gaga with a chugging power chorus."
