* I can't tell ~ : 1. ~ 말 못 하겠어. / 2. 구별 못 하겠어. 

* 'tell + 목적어' 이 '~에게 말하다' 란 뜻일 때는 목적어가 반드시 있어야 함.

* ~ 말 못 하겠어. 

1. I can't tell you why.

2. I can't tell you how grateful I am.

3. I can't tell you how sorry I am. 

4. I can't tell you who you are. : 니가 누구인지 말 못하겠어. 

5. I can't tell you which one is better. 

6. I can't tell you who is John. 

 

* 구별 못 하겠어

1. I can't tell who you are.: 니가 누구인지 구별 못하겠어. / 못 알아보겠어. 

2. I can't tell which one is better. 

3. I can't tell who is John.

4. I can' tell one from another. 

- tell A from B : A 와 B 를 구별하다.
